Nursing

Registered professional nurses staff all three shifts on the BIR Unit at a ratio of one nurse per 4 patients.

The nursing staff implements and reinforces the techniques taught in therapy when providing all aspects of a patient's daily care. Patients are encouraged to perform tasks such as feeding, dressing, and bathing to the extent that they are capable. The goal for each patient is to achieve an optimal level of function.
