Hand Therapy

Treatment is provided by a state licensed and nationally certified occupational therapist. The occupational therapist will help patients reach their functional goals for work and activities of daily living.

Therapists teach exercises, apply modalities, and create custom splints to improve hand function and protect it from injury. Therapists work closely with the referring physician to provide comprehensive care.

Hand injuries covered by this therapy include:

  • fractures and dislocations
  • tendon injuries
  • nerve injuries
  • carpal tunnel surgery
  • arthritis
  • tumors and cysts
  • sprains and strains of the wrist, fingers and arm.
